What is the BCGCA?

​

It is a group of business owners who are General Contractors. From Fort Nelson to Osoyoos from Kitimat to Cranbrook, and everywhere in between. Competitors or friends, business owners generally all agree that contractors need a voice when faced with the significant challenges before us today.

Through creating strong alliances with organizations such as the Architectural Institute of British Columbia, the Association of Professional Engineers and Geo-scientists of British Columbia and the Canadian Construction Association, the BCGCA advocates for General Contractors at all levels of government and keeps our members abreast of what is happening in the industry.

We have seen in other Provinces that leveraging these types of relationships has resulted in successfully influencing changes in policies and legislation and the development of programs that impact our members’ bottom line.

An example of this positive impact is a proposed Early Dispute Resolution Program.

Each year, the BCGCA could save members tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars by interceding in contract disputes through this program.
